The Opportunity

 

Civmec are currently seeking an additional Structural Mechanical Piping Project Engineer  to join our established project team based in Kemerton South West WA and assist the SMP Package completion.  

 

Whilst this package is due to complete towards the end of 2021 we have  a pipeline of work offering ongoing project opportunities to  candidates seeking a long term career relationship. You will be experienced as a site based SMP Project Engineer from within the construction sector.

 

This is a unique project, based in the South West WA  with a living away from home allowance available  to non-local candidates and a 5 day a week Monday to Friday roster.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Process material take-offs
  • Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
  • Produce as-built drawings for fabrication works
  • Arrange method statements and prepare work packs as required
  •  Organise project testing requirements
  • Compose weekly progress reports
  • Update schedules as required
  • Ensure relevant field inspection checklists are completed and signed in conjunction with client representatives
  • Understand and implement quality control techniques
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed

About You

 

Essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in structural, mechanical, engineering or construction management
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite
  • Previous project experience on fabrication and installation projects ideally in the resources sector
  • Previous experience of working  on construction sites as an engineer
