The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking applications from experienced Logistics Supervisors and Material Controllers for opportunities based in the South West, W.A Region.

These positions are Monday-Friday, 5:2 roster and is open to local or DIDO candidates. LAFHA allowances will be available for qualifying DIDO candidates.

Logistics Supervisor

  • Communicate across all divisions and business units
  • Support pre-qualification of trucking suppliers
  • Engage and manage trucking suppliers including arranging orders and coordination
  • Ensuring suppliers meet their legal obligations
  • Meet Civmec corporate requirements in relation to asset movements
  • Liaise with relevant government bodies in relation to transport as required
  • Manage delivery dockets including tracking and reporting
  • Enter and track all transport manifests including all paperwork in relation to the transportation of goods 
  • Notify sites of upcoming deliveries and communicate delays (if applicable)
  • Travel to site with critical loads as required
  • Ensure loads are ready to be transported including internal liaison on Civmec created goods (as required)
  • Oversee transport operations
  • Exercise a level on confidentiality in day to day logistics operations 
     

Material Controller

  • Support and assist the Logistics Supervisor
  • Comply to Company and Project receiving procedure
  • Comply to Company and Project materials control procedure
  • Daily interfacing with project teams on upcoming material movements and materials to be procured
  • Procurement; raise MR and liaise with vendors and purchasing department
  • Coordinate with store yard (Perth) on good, materials and truck delivery to site
  • Coordinate with Plant and Equipment hire companies; service kits, breakdowns, etc. 
  • Weekly submission of Plant and Equipment Pre-Starts records
  • All materials are received, catalogued  and notify end users of goods arrival
  • Ensure work assigned to material controllers is completed, on time and to safety standards
  • Drive a culture of safety excellence within crews
  • Scheduling to meet dispatch schedules
  • Compile documentation for dispatch loads
  • Maintain and manage accurate materials and plant and equipment movement records/registers, including inspection and servicing records
  • Ensure store materials are managed via store management system
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed

 

About You

To be successful for the above positions, you will display:

  • Previous demonstrated experience in similar positions
  • Experience working on large scale SMP constuction projects
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced working environment
  • Computer literacy skills across Microsoft suite at an intermediate level
  • Forklift Licence (preferred)
  • Construction White/Blue Card
