Civmec is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to support the delivery of major civil construction works within the resources sector. This role will see you step into a key leadership position, overseeing day to day civil activities and ensuring safety, quality and progress targets are consistently met.

You’ll be working on a significant civil and earthworks package recently awarded in the Pilbara, including construction of a new Car Dumper vault with piling, dewatering, structural retention systems, associated vault works and the full FRP concrete scope. 

 

The position requires strong coordination skills, the ability to lead crews effectively and a solid background in delivering complex civil projects.

 

Roster: FIFO 2:1, potential night shift requirements.

 

The Role

  • Supervise all civil construction activities, including earthworks, concrete structures and site preparation
  • Maintain strong knowledge of earthworks, services, concrete works, permit procedures and statutory requirements
  • Plan daily work activities and identify hazards and controls in consultation with the workforce
  • Liaise with client representatives to resolve technical queries, coordinate inspections and support project scheduling
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, progress and compliance with project standards
  • Deliver the construction scope by executing project plans, coordinating crews and directing day to day field activities
  • Conduct and document site inspections and risk assessments, including hazard identification, risk analysis and control measure
  • Communicate and report on HSE issues and incidents, lead toolbox meetings and support the resolution of safety concerns
     

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role
  • WA Statutory Supervisor S26 Certificate (desirable)
  • First Aid & CPR qualifications (desirable)
  • Current driver’s licence (mandatory)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated experience across detailed civil works, including earthworks, drainage & structural.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
