Civmec are currently seeking experienced Crane Operators to support our upcoming CSBP work which include a 4-week shut down campaign running throughout February as well as ongoing construction and maintenance. This work forms part of the CSBP Sodium Cyanide Expansion project in Kwinana WA and is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a major industrial upgrade and work alongside a skilled, high-performing team.
The Role
Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:
- Casual Rates plus Penalties after 36 hours
- Site and Travel allowances
- Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport
- Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers
- Shows commitment to safety culture through personal behaviour and willingness to influence others
- Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations
- Perform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of crane
- Remains in continual voice (radio), hand, and or communication with rigger while operating the crane
- Responsible for creating an environment fostering open communications concerning safety issues
- Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged and that lifting gear is inspected prior to use
- Follows correct lock-out and tag procedures
- Operates crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Available for the full 4-week period commencing 01/02/2026
- Flexibility to work both Day and Night shift
- Hold a current High-Risk Licence for CN C1 or CO licence and VOC
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within construction industry
- Produce Proof of Right to work in Australia
- Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
- Current High risk elevating work platform license and VOC
- Current Drivers Licence
- Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
- Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
