Civmec are currently seeking experienced Advanced Scaffolders to support our upcoming CSBP work, which includes shutdown campaigns running throughout the year as well as ongoing construction and maintenance.
On the Anominia side of the CSBP plant, the project scope includes scaffolding works carried out during the preshut phase. Scaffolders will be responsible for erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffold structures to support construction and maintenance activities across heavy industrial environments. The role requires broad experience working within complex live‑plant settings, ensuring safe access for multiple trades while maintaining strict compliance with site standards and high‑risk‑work procedures. Activities will focus on supporting upgrades within the NAAN 2 and tertiary abatement areas, integrating scaffolding solutions safely around existing operational systems and confined‑space interfaces.
This position is a short‑term 2–3 month assignment operating Monday–Thursday (10.5‑hour days), Friday (8 hours), with occasional Saturday work as required as well as increased hours during the shutdown period.
The Role
Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor, your key responsibilities include:

Erecting, installing, and positioning various sections of scaffolding

Installing guard rails, ropes, and laying planks to form safe scaffold platforms

Fitting and bolting tubes, support braces, and components to build scaffold bases and structures

Updating and maintaining the scaffolding register

Maintaining housekeeping standards in all work areas
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Advanced Scaffolder
- Working Safely at Heights certification, valid within 2 years
- High Risk Work Licence for SA, WP + VOC
- Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
