Civmec are currently seeking experienced Tube Fitters to support our upcoming CSBP work which includes shut down campaigns running throughout the year as well as ongoing construction and maintenance. This work forms part of the CSBP Sodium Cyanide Expansion project in Kwinana WA and is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a major industrial upgrade and work alongside a skilled, high-performing team.
The Role
Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:
Fabrication & Installation
- Measure, cut, bend, and prepare 3/8”, 1/2", and 3/4" stainless steel tubing in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Install tubing systems for hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, water, and process lines.
- Select correct materials, fittings, and tools for each task.
- Assemble and secure tube runs using clamps, supports, and brackets.
- Complete impulse and air tubing connections for flow control valves, on/off valves, and instrumentation.
- Conduct pressure and leak testing, along with visual inspections of fittings and supports.
- Work with Gyrolok and Swagelok‑type tubing and fittings.
Technical Work
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
- Perform tube flaring, swaging, and threading.
- Carry out leak testing where required.
- Ensure correct alignment, routing, and spacing of tubing to meet quality and safety standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- An Australian‑recognised Trade Certificate
- Gyrolok and Swagelok training (Gyrolok C325 preferred)
- Working Safely at Heights certification
- High Risk Work Licence for EWP + VOC
- A current Driver’s Licence
- Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
Skills & Competencies

- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and isometrics
- Proficiency with tube bending equipment, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Good understanding of stainless‑steel materials and tubing practices
- Experience with leak testing, tube prep, and installation
- Previous construction experience
