We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Business Systems Analyst to join our innovative Business Systems team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing existing applications and contributing to the development of innovative solutions that are essential to our business operations.

With a major focus on redeveloping our Project Control systems, you’ll work closely with our in-house development team and engage with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, analyse business processes and help implement effective and practical solutions.

This role offers variety - no two days will look the same. Your dynamic problem-solving skills will be put to the test as you engage in a wide range of activities, including system testing, stakeholder engagement, and training support.

 

The role:

 

As a Business Systems Analyst at Civmec, you will:

  • Engage and coordinate with various stakeholders across the company to capture and document business and user requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Analyse current systems and business processes to pinpoint inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
  • Translate business needs and requirements into detailed user stories for the development team, ensuring clear and actionable guidance for implementation.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure systems meets the business requirements and is ready for deployment. Collaborate with end-users to validate functionalities and confirm that systems are robust and reliable.
  • Develop and deliver engaging training materials and sessions for end-users, supporting effective system adoption.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for business systems and act as a key contact for technical queries.
  • Lead workshops and meetings to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical capabilities.
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives to support successful delivery.
  • Contribute to maintaining templates, standard and best practices for business analysis activities.

 

About You:

 

You are an adept communicator, negotiator, and influencer, capable of managing communication strategies with diverse stakeholders that brings: 

  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the agility to adapt to changing workloads and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
  • Experience in both support and project delivery environments.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into clear documentation and actionable outcomes.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system validation.
  • Familiarity with Office 365, SharePoint, and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI) is highly desirable.
  • The capability to work well both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualisation tools, coupled with an understanding of project management methodologies, to support comprehensive solution development.
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree such as Business Information Systems, Commerce, or Management Information Systems is preferred.
  • Industry experience in in the mining or construction industry, or project systems is an advantage.
