Civmec are seeking an experienced Contract Administrators to assist in the successful delivery of existing and upcoming projects!  You can expect to play a critical role in the delivery of one of our many major projects in which you will drive successful contract compliance and manage commercial outcomes.  You will be joining a highly experienced, professional project team in which you can expect to grow and develop a long term Civmec career. 

 

The Role

The successful candidate will drive outcomes and support in all aspects of the project commercial and contract functions, including but not limited to:

  • Formation and management of RFQ packages and Subcontractor tendering;
  • Administration of subcontract packages, including management of variations, EOT and daywork claims;
  • Perform cost control and reporting duties for end of month reporting and client contract reports;
  • Attend weekly subcontractor meetings representing Civmec’s commercial interests as required;
  • Drafting and submission of notices of delay, extensions of time, subcontracts and or supplier agreements required for the project;
  • Provide support to the project team in the preparation of relevant notices within designated timeframes;
  • Notify clients of any issues, special circumstances or breaches of contract;
  • Liaising with subcontractors to ensure all relevant insurances are current and legal (i.e. workers compensation)
  • Revise and retain contract registers highlighting payment conditions payment claims; and
  • Maintain company standards of documentation and records for Quality Assurance purposes;

 

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field is desired but not necessary
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a role as a Contract Administrator or Quantity Surveyor; 
  • Previous experience within the construction industry is essential;
  • Strong, clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal; and
  • Strong understanding of commercial management and project controls.
