Join the Civmec Team

Civmec is seeking for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator based at Eneabba’s Rare Earth Refinery.

Step into a key position where you'll drive contract compliance and commercial outcomes on one of Australia’s most significant resources projects. Reporting to a Commercial Manager based in our head office, you will often be a self-sufficient resource at the coal face, while having the benefit of an experienced and knowledgeable team on call.

This project is based in the Mid-Western Region and offers a 2:1 roster to all personnel, offering better work-life balance to our employees. Transportation to and from site is provided from Perth Airport.

This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing project team that values professionalism, collaboration, and long-term career growth. If you're confident managing complex contracts and thrive in site-based environments, this role offers the chance to make a real impact — all while driving in and out from Perth.

The Role

This site-based role at Eneabba is ideal for a commercially savvy Senior Contracts Administrator who enjoys being close to the action. You'll be embedded with the project team and take ownership of contract and financial controls that keep the project running smoothly.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Assisting the construction delivery team to identify change, delay and disruption to the works
  • Identifying, communicating and managing project risks, both internal and external
  • Attending site meetings and representing Civmec’s commercial interests with confidence
  • Drafting and issuing formal notices and head contract documentation
  • Supporting cost tracking and contributing to monthly financial and client reporting
  • Coordinating RFQs and managing subcontractor tendering from start to finish
  • Overseeing subcontractor performance, handling variations, EOTs, and daywork claims
  • Verifying subcontractor compliance with insurance and legal requirements
  • Keeping contract registers up to date and monitoring payment terms and claims
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with QA standards

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • A tertiary qualification in the relevant field
  • 3 – 4 years of experience as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor
  • Solid background in the construction industry is a must, with previous on-site experience highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal
  • Strong grasp of commercial management principles and project controls
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting
