Civmec is currently seeking a Graduate Contracts Advisor to join our team. This opportunity will provide you with the skills, knowledge and experience to build a successful legal career.
You will gain exposure to a broad range of opportunities, from supporting Civmec’s corporate functions to contributing to complex commercial transactions and legal matters.
As part of Civmec’s internal legal team, you will develop a strong understanding of the business and construction law landscape while assisting with the provision of legal and contractual advice across various business units and departments within the Civmec Group.
The Role
As a Graduate, you will be involved in a wide range of construction related legal work undertaken by the team.
This includes exposure to:
- Contract and commercial law
- Disputes
- Change management and variations
- Extension of time and programme management
- Contract administration
- Reviewing subcontracts and supplier agreements
- Contract formation
- Regulatory and compliance
- Insurance law
You will gain the breadth of experience required to become a trusted business advisor, together with a comprehensive understanding of an in-house legal function.

About You
To be considered, you will have a law degree from an Australian university (or be a recent graduate), with eligibility for admission as a lawyer in Western Australia.
- Strong, clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, drafting and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- A proactive attitude, with drive and enthusiasm
- Initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn
- Strong interest in commercial law, contracting, and the construction/resources sector
- Sound legal ability with a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Exposure to the construction sector will be highly regarded
