Civmec is entering an exciting phase of growth and diversification within our Construction division, and we’re looking to strengthen our project delivery team.

 

We’re seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Civil Project Engineer to support major infrastructure and construction works across civil and structural scopes. This role will play a key part in overseeing activities such as piling, pre‑cast installation, and concreting, ensuring all engineering standards, design requirements, and quality benchmarks are met throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Working on a 2:1 FIFO roster, you’ll help drive compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across site operations while coordinating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Your technical expertise and commitment to quality will directly contribute to the successful delivery of complex, large‑scale construction packages.

The Role

Our Civil Engineers are key members of our Project Delivery Team managing project scope, client interaction and involved in all aspects of project execution including construction, quality, commercial and management activities.

  • Liaise with client representatives and internal stakeholders regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
  • Attend operations meetings and preparation and issue weekly status reports including work schedules
  • Review and approve technical deviation & query requests and maintain the register
  • Take timely corrective action to address any issued non-conformances and maintain company standards
  • Understanding and implementing quality control techniques
  • Maintain company standards for Quality assurance purposes
  • Providing and developing daily, weekly and montly reports as directed 
  • Development and career progression opportunities available

 

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in structural, civil engineering or construction management
  • Previous project experience with Civil projects
  • Industry knowledge is essential to be successful in this position
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite and Autocad
  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience working on FMG, Rio Tinto, BHP and Roy Hill sites is highly regarded
