Designed to build strong technical foundations, Civmec’s Engineering Graduate Program provides graduates with hands‑on experience, practical learning, and ongoing development as they transition from study to industry. You’ll be supported by experienced professionals who are committed to mentoring the next generation of engineers. With a diverse portfolio of projects and capabilities across multiple divisions, Civmec offers exposure to a broad range of engineering disciplines and project environments. As a graduate, you’ll be embedded within a project team, contributing to real outcomes while developing your skills in a collaborative, high‑performing workplace.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend our Graduate Assessment Centre, where you’ll have the opportunity to demonstrate your capabilities, collaborate with peers, and engage with Civmec leaders. Successful candidates will receive offers in September for a January start.
The Role
Working in a team of passionate and highly skilled engineers, you will be:

Hands-on project experience on site, working alongside experienced Project Managers, Supervisors, Engineers, and project teams.

Structured development and mentoring through learning programs, workshops, a dedicated Graduate Buddy, and formal mentoring opportunities.

Gain end-to-end project exposure within the business, developing technical expertise while experiencing every stage of the project lifecycle, from tendering and planning through to execution, quality assurance, HSE, completion, and successful project delivery.

Real responsibility from day one, building client relationships, coordinating subcontractors, and contributing to project outcomes.

The chance to make a real impact, contributing to innovative projects while developing the skills needed for a successful engineering or construction career.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

Completed an Australian-recognised Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.

Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to use technology effectively in a project environment.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships and contribute effectively within a team environment.

Holds full Australian working rights.

Possesses a valid Construction White Card (or can obtain one prior to commencement).

Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work full-time and FIFO rosters as required.
