The Civmec Balanced Machines Division has been awarded a number of machine projects. The machines are designed, fabricated, assembled, and tested at our state-of-the-art Henderson facility. There is a healthy pipeline of machine projects going forward which Civmec will be involved with.

 

We are seeking experienced Principal Mechanical Engineers to join this expanding team of professional Balanced Machines Engineers. The successful applicant will be part of a busy multi-discipline design and delivery team delivering some of exciting mining machine project for our clients.
You will enjoy a full project scope of work, including design, execution, and final completion at our clients’ sites throughout WA. Perth Based with optional office location - CBD or Henderson

The Role

 

  • Review and interpret scope of works, technical specifications;
  • Act as a lead mechanical engineer or assist the lead mechanical engineer for project delivery and assist with tenders;
  • Design, specify and/or select components;
  • Complete 2D and/or 3D design related works
  • Participate in design and safety reviews;
  • Determine scope and/or design changes;
  • Prepare calculations, reports, datasheets, BOM, scope of works, construction and/or commissioning methodologies;
  • Provide procurement and manufacturing support;
  • Assist services and spares related works and attend site as required;
  • Assist with the commissioning of machines;
  • Train and mentor junior personnel;
  • Drive QA/QC best outcomes for the Company and Clients;

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering;
  • Minimum of seven (7+) years experience in the mining industry.
  • Balanced machines and materials handling experience
  • Proficient in relevant engineering tools, software and CAD systems; and
  • Experience with direct liaison in a multidisciplinary team.
