The Role
Civmec is embarking on a journey of diversification and expansion, and we have an exciting opportunity for Senior Project Engineers who embody our values. With a robust pipeline of current and forecasted projects, we are seeking experienced Senior Project Engineers to join our team in W.A. These positions involve overseeing and managing both Civil and SMP works in construction projects and offer both DIDO and FIFO opportunities. Our Senior Project Engineers are responsible for leading the project field engineering team and managing the interface with procurement and construction to ensure project completion within time and cost constraints, achieving all project outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling, and coordinating deliveries.
- Review and approve technical deviation/query requests, maintaining the TDQR register.
- Promptly address any issued non-conformances with corrective actions.
- Uphold company standards for Quality Assurance.
- Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to prepare all Inspection and Test Plans and associated project-specific procedures.
- Ensure that installation surveys throughout the project are conducted professionally, with all results reviewed and accepted.
- Review Scope of Work (SOW) documents to ensure project specifications and code requirements are included.
- Prepare requisitions for materials and services in line with project requirements (content, accuracy, and timing).
- Assist in compiling construction Work Packs and test packs according to project requirements (content, accuracy, and timing).
- Identify and evaluate Variation works and assist commercial team with contract change management.
- Plan and review the project with the Technical Services Manager to clarify technical aspects and understand contractual arrangements with the company.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Structural, Mechanical, Engineering.
- Solid understanding of project planning, scheduling, and cost control tools.
- Preferably, at least 5 years of Site Construction experience in a Project Engineer role on major projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
