Civmec are currently seeking a Project Engineer with either SMP, Civil, Electrical or Maintenance experience to support our projects. There are local and FIFO opportunities.

The Role

  • Assessment of risks and hazards involved in tasks, and methods to manage the hazards to prevent incidents, injury and damage
  • Reviews Scope of Work documents and ensures project specifications and code requirements are covered within the Scope of Work
  • Resolve technical issues in an expedient and cost-effective manner;
  • Prepares requisitions for materials and services in accordance with Project requirements (content, accuracy and timing). This includes development of purchasing documentation such as scopes of work, data sheets and the like as necessary.
  • Identification, raising and managing variations to the Contract
  • Identify and report causes of delay and/or disruption
  • Development, management and assessment of subcontractor scopes of works
  • Participate in daily, weekly and monthly progress reporting
  • Assist in cost and schedule monitoring and reporting
  • Ensures quality records are progressively completed and signed off in accordance with the schedule
  • Prepares and administers all Inspection and Test Plans and associated project-specific procedures as required

 


 

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in structural, mechanical, civil or electrical engineering
  • Previous project experience on projects ideally in the mining, oil and gas sector is desirable.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite
