The Role
Civmec are currently seeking a full time Expeditor to join our Henderson team. The main duties of this role include:
- Coordinate and manage the receipt of incoming goods and materials. Verify delivery documentation against purchase orders and ensure accuracy of quantities and specifications.Inspect items for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Prepare and package materials for dispatch in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
- Pick and pack orders, batching material for production.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders to maintain optimal inventory. Work closely with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of materials. Assist in forecasting material requirements based on project schedules.
- Provide efficient and professional service to internal stakeholders at the counter. Offer guidance on material availability and assist with urgent requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records. Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts to ensure data integrity. Identify and resolve stock discrepancies, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or materials coordination within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail for accurate stock management and documentation.
- Good problem-solving ability to resolve discrepancies and meet urgent material needs.
- Ability to safely handle and move materials
- Clear and professional communication skills for liaising with internal teams, suppliers, and freight providers.
