Civmec presents a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic HR/IR professional to join our dynamic Henderson team. Collaborate with a seasoned HR team, enhance your skill set, and support a variety of exciting local and FIFO projects in the Construction and Engineering industry. This role offers the perfect blend of professional growth and impactful work in a vibrant, supportive environment. This role is ideal for an experienced HR Officer or an emerging HR/IR Advisor eager to further develop their expertise in the resource industry.

The Role

You will be providing advice to employees and the company on the effective management of employee relations including: 

  • Interpretation of employment contracts, enterprise agreements and legislation
  • Performance management
  • Counselling / Discipline and Termination
  • Grievance Management
  • Provide advice on HR procedures and systems and ensure effective application of those throughout the company.
  • Identifies human resource issues and appropriate intervention
  • Provide advice on HR procedures and systems and ensure effective application of those throughout the company.
  • Coordinate Right of Entry visits including any dispute resolutions.

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • A drive towards continuous improvement
  • Previous experience on managing complex IR issues on multidiscipline sites within similar industries.
  • Outstanding communication and written skills
  • Human Resources / Industrial Relations degree or qualification is preferred.
  • Previous work experience in a similar position
  • Strong working knowledge of the industrial relationship framework and Fair Work Act
