The Role
The ITP Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and executing the installation and testing processes for multiple vessels of various systems and equipment on Defence Ships. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all installation events and steps are completed accurately and efficiently, meeting the highest quality standards and adhering to project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to meet project milestones.
- Coordinate the Quality Team for installation and testing, ensuring compliance with industry standards and DNV classification.
- Manage Installation Test Plan (ITP) events in JIRA, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify the functionality, performance, and installation of critical systems and equipment.
- Validate inspections for compliance and resolve discrepancies.
- Troubleshoot ITP-related issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with production teams to monitor the progress of installation tests and ensure that all testing procedures are aligned with project schedules.
- Identify, track, and manage non-conformances across product installations.
- Update ITP processes based on business changes and feedback.
- Drive process improvements to enhance technical and procedural efficiency.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Technical Trade/engineering qualifications
- Tertiary business qualifications in Project Management, Change management or Business
- 5+ years experience in quality management in shipbuilding and organizational change
- Experience in Defence Shipbuilding installation and testing, with strong knowledge of Defence ship systems.
