Working closely with the Estimating, Legal and senior leadership teams, you will lead the commercial and contractual close‑out of tenders and proposals. This includes coordinating detailed contract reviews, ensuring alignment and consistency across all schedules and appendices, resolving commercial risks, and finalising terms and conditions prior to submission.
You will play a key role in safeguarding Civmec’s commercial position by identifying and addressing contractual risks early, guiding the negotiation of key schedules, and ensuring that all documentation reflects accurate, coherent and compliant contractual obligations.

The Role
To provide leadership and manage all aspects of contract functions, including but not limited to:
- Coordinate the commercial and contractual close‑out of tenders and proposals in collaboration with Estimating, Legal and senior management.
- Lead detailed review and finalisation of contract terms, schedules and appendices to ensure accuracy, alignment and internal consistency.
- Apply strong knowledge of contract models and cost‑recovery frameworks to ensure all annexures, schedules and commercial provisions reflect the intended pricing strategy and risk position of the Estimating team and management.
- Identify, assess and manage commercial and contractual risks throughout the tendering process.
- Provide negotiation support on key commercial terms and contribute to qualification and deviation strategies.
- Ensure tender submissions are commercially sound, compliant and reflective of agreed commercial positions.
- Facilitate effective internal coordination across commercial, legal, technical and estimating stakeholders to meet submission deadlines.
- Support continuous improvement of pre‑contracts processes, templates and commercial governance.
About You
Your experience should include the following:
- Tertiary Qualification in Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or similar field;
- Prior experience in a similar pre-contract role focusing on successful contract outcomes;
- At least 5 years’ experience in the contract management within construction / mining projects;
- Strong, clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
