Civmec has been awarded a significant civil and earthworks construction project with a leading Tier 1 mining company in the Pilbara region. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver this high-profile scope of works.
The project includes the construction of a new Car Dumper vault, incorporating piling, dewatering, structural retention systems, and other associated works within the vault, as well as the complete FRP concrete package.
This is a key Operational role that will see you deliver a major construction project to completion where you can establish critical partnerships for future growth and development.
Roster flexibility on offer:
- FIFO 2/1 or 8/6 from any capital city in Australia
- Port Hedland Local 5/2 roster – Relocation offered for the right candidate
The Role
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the project in accordance with contractual, safety, and quality requirements.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and the client to maintain strong communication and collaboration.
- Oversee risk management, compliance, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all project activities.
- Ensure adherence to environmental and regulatory standards.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale civil and earthworks projects, preferably within the mining sector.
- Strong knowledge of piling, dewatering, structural retention systems, and FRP concrete works.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and environmental compliance requirements.
- Ability to work in remote locations and manage FIFO rosters effectively.
