Civmec’s Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) division, Balanced Machines, is driving the future of materials handling. We design and deliver next-generation balanced machines, stackers, reclaimers, and shiploaders. Every machine is crafted at our state-of-the-art Henderson facility, from design and fabrication through assembly, testing, and finally on-site installation and commissioning.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive professional with strong Windchill (PTC) PLM expertise to support and manage engineering and product data across the business. This role is ideal for someone who has worked extensively within Windchill environments and understands how to optimise configuration management, document control, workflow processes in an operational setting, scale material handling projects, optimising processes that keep our operations running at peak efficiency.

In this pivotal role, you’ll enhance data integrity, system performance, and user experience while championing continuous improvement. You’ll combine technical administration with smart business analysis to ensure our PLM systems align seamlessly with organisational goals and support successful project delivery.
The Role
- Administer, maintain, and actively use Windchill PLM to manage engineering data, BOMs, CAD models, and technical documentation.
- Ensure accurate configuration control, versioning, and release management within Windchill.
- Support engineering, operations, and supply chain teams in effective use of Windchill tools and workflows.
- Create, maintain, and improve Windchill processes, standards, and documentation.
- Manage user access, permissions, lifecycle states, and change workflows.
- Act as a key point of contact for Windchill-related issues, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Drive data integrity, governance, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Support system upgrades, process improvements, and integration activities as required.
- Gather and document business requirements, supporting PLM enhancements, integrations, and process improvements.
- Develop and deliver user training, guides, dashboards, and reports to support effective PLM usage and project visibility.
- Oversee integrations with CAD tools (Creo, AutoCAD, MicroStation) and, where required, ERP/MES systems.
- Recommend and implement system upgrades, new features, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support smooth data migration activities and occasionally attend onsite visits at Henderson.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience using and managing Windchill PLM in a production environment
- Strong understanding of PLM concepts including configuration management, change control (ECR/ECO) & BOM management
- Experience working with CAD data (e.g., Creo or other CAD systems integrated with Windchill)
- Ability to train, support and guide users in effective Windchill usage
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering or asset‑intensive industries (highly regarded)
- Trade and/or tertiary qualifications in Business Systems, IT or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in PLM administration and/or engineering systems management
- Experience in business analysis (requirements gathering, process mapping)
- Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing workflows
- In‑depth knowledge of PLM systems or databases, ideally Windchill or similar
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Suite and use of digital devices (iOS/Android)
- Knowledge of ERP systems and PLM integration and PLM tool
Desirable
- Windchill administration or power‑user experience
- Experience with Windchill upgrades, customisation or integrations
- Understanding of ISO, AS or similar quality management frameworks
