Civmec is actively looking for talented individuals with expertise in payroll for the role of Senior Payroll Officer at our Corporate Offices in Henderson. In this role, you will collaborate with the Payroll Manager to handle crucial tasks involved in processing our weekly and fortnightly payrolls and assist in supporting and leading the team. The Role

  • Processing new employee setups and maintaining accurate payroll records
  • Interpreting workplace agreements for wage and salaried employees
  • Assisting with payroll and end‑of‑year reconciliations
  • Reconciling annual leave, long service leave, sick leave, redundancy and productivity accruals
  • Preparing, calculating and reconciling weekly and fortnightly payments
  • Responding to payroll enquiries and providing high‑quality service to internal/external stakeholders
  • Maintaining award updates and payroll adjustments
  • Reconciling weekly PAYG tax payments
  • Calculating and processing termination payments
  • Preparing accurate daily, weekly and fortnightly payroll reports
  • Performing additional duties as required to support operational needs

 

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Senior Payroll role
  • Experience within the construction industry
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of EBA interpretation, Fair Work Act requirements and ATO legislation
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Experience with SAP/SuccessFactors (highly desirable)
