Civmec is actively seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic payroll team at our Corporate Offices in Henderson as a Team Leader. In this role, you will collaborate with the Payroll Manager and lead a team to handle crucial tasks involved in processing our weekly and monthly payrolls. The Role
- Lead and mentor the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
- Enter new & update existing employees onto payroll systems
- Understand and utilize workplace agreements for wage and salaried employees
- Assist with payroll and EOY reconciliations
- Reconcile annual leave, long service leave, sick leave, redundancy, and productivity accruals as required
- Prepare, calculate, and reconcile weekly and monthly payments for wage and salary-based staff
- Assist with general payroll enquiries
- Maintain current award updates and payroll adjustments
- Reconcile weekly PAYG tax payments
- Calculate and process termination payments for employees
- Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required
- Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a Senior Payroll position and leading a team
- Proven experience within the Construction Industry
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
- Working knowledge of EBA interpretation, FWA, and ATO relevant legislation
- Strong focus on delivering a high level of customer service and ability to communicate with all levels of management
- Previous experience with SAP/Success Factors is highly desirable
