Civmec is actively seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic payroll team at our Corporate Offices in Henderson as a Team Leader. In this role, you will collaborate with the Payroll Manager and lead a team to handle crucial tasks involved in processing our weekly and monthly payrolls. The Role

  • Lead and mentor the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Enter new & update existing employees onto payroll systems
  • Understand and utilize workplace agreements for wage and salaried employees
  • Assist with payroll and EOY reconciliations
  • Reconcile annual leave, long service leave, sick leave, redundancy, and productivity accruals as required
  • Prepare, calculate, and reconcile weekly and monthly payments for wage and salary-based staff
  • Assist with general payroll enquiries
  • Maintain current award updates and payroll adjustments
  • Reconcile weekly PAYG tax payments
  • Calculate and process termination payments for employees
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed

 

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Minimum 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a Senior Payroll position and leading a team
  • Proven experience within the Construction Industry
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of EBA interpretation, FWA, and ATO relevant legislation
  • Strong focus on delivering a high level of customer service and ability to communicate with all levels of management 
  • Previous experience with SAP/Success Factors is highly desirable
