The Role
The Pre-delivery Maintenance Lead is responsible for leading a team of Coordinators and Technicians to ensure all Civmec OPV assets are preserved, maintained and are operable from delivery to the warehouse, ship installation, through set to work of the equipment then delivery of the vessel.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of Verification and Validation (V&V) plans, processes, and procedures to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
- Lead the pre-delivery maintenance team and subcontractors to ensure all maintenance is executed across all the OPVs
- Oversee the Pre-delivery subcontractor tasks, ensuring that maintenance activities are correctly conducted and OQE recorded.
- Provide support to Supply Chain to ensure pre-delivery maintenance contracts are in place and subcontractors complete their scope and delivery OQE in a timely manner.
- Ensure that pre delivery maintenance requirements are planned, scheduled and managed in accordance with program priorities and conflicts.
- Ensure all parties are informed of progress and issues throughout all project phases.
- Support internal stakeholders with Pre Delivery information at key project gates, such as SAT TRR and delivery.
- Ensure defects are raised appropriately and followed through to completion.
- Identifying areas for improvement within process and implanting change to increase efficiency and cost.
- Chair appropriate stakeholder weekly/monthly meetings.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Trade certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Previous experience in Preservation and/or Maintenance role in the marine, oil and Gas or defence projects.
- Previous experience in a senior or lead role with direct reports.
- MS Office experience – Basic MS Word, Basic MS Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge in Physical & Functional Maintenance Systems and database
Due to the Security Clearance required for this position, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
