The Role

 

Civmec is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to join our Configuration Management team. This role is integral to supporting effective project governance and ensuring compliance with established standards, policies and procedures.

 

As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring project progress, managing reporting and tracking systems, and liaising with key stakeholders to help deliver on program objectives. You will work closely with Project managers, team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery, accurate documentation, and consistent communication across all levels.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Develop, maintain, and implement program-wide standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures in areas such as communication, reporting, tracking, and meeting cadence.
  • Monitor and report on Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and Supplier Data Requirements Lists (SDRLs) to ensure achievement of contractual obligations.
  • Provide ownership and oversight of the Action & Decision Register within JIRA, ensuring progression to closure.
  • Communicate project progress through information boards and by attending internal project meetings.
  • Support the implementation of standardised project metrics, reporting, and dashboards for comprehensive program oversight.
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvement opportunities

 

About You

 

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

 

  • Minimum five years’ experience in a comparable project coordinator role.
  • Experience of working within Defence, specifically Acquisition and, or Shipbuilding.
  • Demonstratable capability and experience in program / or project planning, integration, and communication in a utility industry or similar, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in core IT systems, including advanced MS Office and intermediate Excel skills (essential).

 

 

 

Due to the Security Clearance required for this position, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
