This role is based at our Corporate Offices in Henderson, WA, supporting key business functions that underpin Civmec's continued growth and operations across Australia. 

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you'll source the materials, equipment and services that keep our projects and operations running, from routine requisitions through to urgent shutdown requirements. Working closely with suppliers, freight providers and project teams, you'll ensure every purchase is delivered on time, at the right price and in line with our procurement governance. 

 

The Role

  • •    Manage Purchase Orders – Raise and process purchase orders accurately and on time, in line with approved material requisitions and company procedures. 
    •    Expedite Supplier Deliveries – Monitor outstanding and overdue orders, resolve delays and coordinate freight, courier and site deliveries. 
    •    Support Critical Requirements – Process urgent shipments, shutdown requirements and operational priorities. 
    •    Negotiate with Suppliers – Secure competitive pricing, delivery schedules and service terms. 
    •    Manage Supplier Performance – Conduct new supplier evaluations and coordinate non-conformance investigations, corrective actions and outcomes. 
    •    Reconcile & Resolve – Review purchase orders and quotations against invoices and resolve discrepancies. 
    •    Provide Procurement Support – Respond to purchasing queries and requests from project, operations and finance stakeholders. 
    •    Ensure Compliance & Data Integrity – Maintain accurate purchasing records, obtain approvals within delegated authority limits and uphold OHSE, quality and procurement standards. 
    •    Report & Improve – Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting and contribute to continuous improvement of purchasing processes. 

 

About You

To be successful in the role, you will possess the following: 

•    Purchasing & Procurement Experience – Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar purchasing, procurement or supply chain role, ideally within the mining, oil and gas sector. 
•    Purchase Order & Documentation Expertise – Proven experience processing purchase orders, managing supplier quotations and maintaining procurement documentation. 
•    Systems & Data Management – Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced working within purchasing and ERP systems such as COINS, SAP or Ariba. 
•    Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement – Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills with suppliers, freight providers and internal teams. 
•    Organisation & Problem Solving – Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and resolve issues efficiently. 
•    Attention to Detail & Compliance – Focus on accuracy, process compliance and data integrity.
•    Qualifications – Certificate IV or Diploma in Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain Management, or a Business or Commerce qualification (desirable but not essential). 
•    Highly Regarded – Shutdown or project-based procurement, freight coordination and construction or fabrication industry experience, plus a current driver's licence.
