The Civmec Balanced Machines Division has been awarded two Design and Construct projects, the first a Bridge Reclaimer for Alcoa Pinjarra and the second a Shiploader for BHP Port Hedland. The machines are designed, fabricated, assembled, and tested at our state-of-the-art Henderson facility. There is a healthy pipeline of machine projects going forward which Civmec will be involved with.

 

We are seeking experienced Senior Designers to join this expanding team of professional Balanced Machines Engineers. The successful applicant will be part of a busy multi-discipline design and delivery team delivering some of exciting mining machine project for our clients.
You will enjoy a full project scope of work, including design, execution, and final completion at our clients’ sites throughout WA. Perth Based with optional office location - CBD or Henderson

The Role

  • Participate in studies, conceptual designs , estimate preparation and design reviews;
  • Review the project scope and Technical Brief and apply the design criteria and methodologies outlined in the engineering of the project;
  • Prepare, Review and Mark-up 3d Models and Drawings with due consideration of safety, operability, simplicity and cost minimisation;
  • Identify project scope or design changes, or other issues which could adversely affect project cost or schedule;
  • Ensure project documents, data and information are correctly sourced, reviewed, managed and available;
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals as required;
  • Assist in the development of system and procedures to facilitate engineering design methods;

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • 5 + years’ design/engineering experience in a relevant industry.
  • Proficient knowledge of PTC Creo 
  • Able to coach and train less experienced personnel in technical matters.
  • Good knowledge of the company’s engineering tools and be able to create deliverables with these tools.
  • Experience with Creo software (preferred)
  • Able to design integrated systems
