Civmec is currently seeking applications from experienced SMP Superintendents with a strong background in delivering SMP and vertical projects within the resources sector. This is a prime opportunity to join our Construction division and make a meaningful impact. 

The Role

• Oversee the construction and erection of structural, mechanical & piping (SMP) mining components on site
• Supervise and control designated project works for all SMP duties
• Compose weekly progress reports
• Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
• Ensure relevant field inspection checklists are completed and signed in conjunction with client representatives
• Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
• Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
• Manage labour relations and coordinate with the representative groups to ensure a harmonious workplace;
• Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed

About You

To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:

• You will be an experienced Superintendent or Senior Supervisor (SMP) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Experience working on a large-scale projects or similar in the same role.
• Managing and driving completions and punch listing crews.
• Well-honed project planning and scheduling skills.
• Strong leadership qualities – knowing how to lead a team and a project.
