The Christmas Creek Green Iron Project, located near Christmas Creek in the Pilbara region, is part of Fortescue’s strategic move toward green steel production. Fortescue is leveraging its abundant renewable resources in the Pilbara to decarbonise its iron and steel operations, aiming to produce green iron using hydrogen instead of traditional carbon-intensive methods Civmec has been awarded the delivery of the Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation packages of work that will kick off June 2025 with project completion scheduled for early 2026. The project offers a 2:1 roster with transport to and from site provided from Perth Airport. We are currently sourcing Civil Supervisors to join the team. The Role

  • Supervise civil construction activities, including earthworks, concrete structures, and site preparation.
  • Be familiar with construction components including earthworks, services and concrete (both insitu and pre-cast) permit procedures and statutory requirements
  • Plan work activities and identify hazards and controls in consultation with employees
  • Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections and project scheduling
  • Overseeing the standard and progress of subcontractors' work
  • Execute the construction portion of project plans through detailed planning and day-to-day direction of field activities
  • Conduct and record site inspections and risk assessments (including Hazard ID, risk analysis and control)
  • Communicate and report on HSE issues/incidents (e.g. toolbox meetings) and participate in the resolution of HSE issues

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience in construction. 
  • S26 (preferred) 
  • Demonstrated experience performing detailed civil earthworks, drainage, kerbing, asphalt, and hard landscaping.
  • Well-developed interpersonal & communication skills.
