Civmec is seeking a Supplier Quality Surveillance Lead to ensure supplier compliance across our Balance Machine Division projects. You’ll interpret project requirements, coordinate inspections, and support teams with technical quality expertise.
This role covers supplier quality across structural, mechanical, and electrical packages from initial evaluation to final inspection and shipment release. This role will be based out of our Henderson Corporate Offices.
The Role
- Coordinate with suppliers and project teams to ensure timely review and approval of quality documentation and inspections.
- Lead supplier audits, qualification processes, and support technical tender evaluations.
- Facilitate supplier kick-off meetings post-order placement with procurement, engineering, and logistics.
- Prepare and review supplier quality documents including QMPs, QCPs, ITPs, and FAT procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections, FATs, and pre-shipment releases in line with criticality assessments and ITPs.
- Ensure compliance with contract specifications, manage punch lists, and upload findings to CCMS.
- Lead resolution of NCRs, RCAs, and CARs, and drive supplier corrective actions and process improvements.
- Submit inspection reports within required timeframes and maintain quality records and equipment.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or experienced similar trade qualification.
- Familiar with Australian Standards
- Lead Auditor Certificate
- CSWIP 3.1 (Inspector) or equivalent international qualification (desirable).
- NACE Coating inspector Cert Level 1 or above (desirable)
- Experience in a similar role – minimum five (5) years.
- Have strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator.
- Intermediate computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel.
- Minimum five (10) years’ experience in supplier quality industry. (desirable)
