The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking experienced Riggers to join our construction team on the Covalent Lithium Refinery project.

cal, long-term opportunity provides project work within the metro area with a family friendly work schedule of 50 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform dual lifts and mathematical assessment
  • Align level and anchor machinery
  •  Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving using hand and power tools
  • Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures using bolts and clamps
  • Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces using chainfalls, gin poles and gallows frames
  • Dismantle and store rigging equipment
  • Fabricate, set up and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists and pulling gear using hand and power tools
  • Comply with industry safety and standards of working
  • Perform other general duties as required

About You

  • You will be based in Perth, Western Australia
  • Working a heights ticket
  • Elevated Work Platform
  • Relevant High Risk Work License
  • 3 years + construction experience in the mining and resources sector
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
  • Complete a pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol screening
