Civmec is progressing a major SMPE&I package at the Eneabba Rare Earths Facility, a landmark development supporting Australia’s growing critical minerals industry. Our scope covers extensive structural, mechanical and piping works, supported by off site fabrication and the installation of key equipment and infrastructure.
We are now seeking an accomplished SMP Superintendent to take ownership of construction delivery, lead a high performing team of supervisors and crews, and drive safe, efficient and quality focused execution across the SMP work fronts.
The Role
- Lead the safe delivery of all SMP construction activities, ensuring full compliance with HSE standards, legislation and Civmec procedures.
- Oversee supervisors, crews and subcontractors, clearly defining expectations and driving high performance across all work fronts.
- Plan, coordinate and manage resources, labour, plant, materials and subcontractors supported by structured 12‑week lookahead reviews.
- Monitor project progress, costs and forecasts to ensure delivery meets schedule, budget and quality objectives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication, satisfaction and contract compliance.
- Conduct audits, inspections and leadership engagements to continually improve safety, quality and productivity outcomes.
- Manage all reporting requirements, including daily/weekly/monthly updates, change control, risk registers and accurate dayworks.
- Support recruitment, training and development to ensure supervisors and crews are competent, certified and aligned with Civmec values.
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Management qualification
- Trade qualification
- Blue/White Card
- C Class Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar SMP leadership role
- Strong project execution knowledge across construction, mining or resources
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors
- Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
