Civmec is excited to announce that we have been awarded the FMG Green Iron Project.
Located near Christmas Creek in the Pilbara region is part of Fortescue’s strategic move toward green steel production. Fortescue is leveraging its abundant renewable resources in the Pilbara to decarbonise its iron and steel operations, aiming to produce green iron using hydrogen instead of traditional carbon-intensive methods. Civmec has been awarded the delivery of the Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation packages of work that will kick off June 2025 with project completion scheduled for early 2026. The project offers a 3:1 roster with transport to and from site provided from Perth Airport.

The Role
- Mark and line out formwork
- Erect and dismantle formwork as instructed
- Perform second fixing
- Assist with steel fixing when required
- Interpret drawings and specifications
- Complete placing of concrete
- Carry out planning tasks as requested
- Perform other general duties as required
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

- Nationally recognised Trade Certification in Carpentry & Joinery (essential)
- Minimum 2+ years' industry experience working as a Carpenter
- Previous civil construction experience within the mining and resources sectors (preferable)
- HRWL with EWP (over 11 meters)
- Valid Working at Heights certification (preferable)
- Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness card (White Card)
