This is a great opportunity for experienced Intermediate and Advanced Scaffolders to join our Construction team on the FMG Green Iron Project at Christmas Creek. Civmec has been awarded the full delivery of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation works that kicked off in June 2025 with project completion scheduled for early 2026. The project offers a 3:1 roster with transport to and from site provided from Perth Airport.

The Role

Reporting to the Leading Hand/Supervisor your key responsibilities are:

 

  • Erect, install and position various sections of scaffolding
  • Erect guard rails, ropes and laying planks to form various sections of scaffolding
  • Fit bolting tubes, support braces and various components to form bases and build up scaffolding
  • Erect and attach tackles and pulleys to overhead structures
  • Install Cables and counterweights to overhead structures
  • Update scaffolding register
  • Assist with attaching slings and hoist equipment to objects to be moved
  • Assist with setting up and operating rigging equipment
  • Housekeeping
  • Perform other general duties as required

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

 

  • Current High Risk Work Licence (SI or SA and WP)
  • Current Scaffolding VOC (Preferred)
  • Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate (Preferred)
  • Current Confined Spaces and Gas Test Atmosphere (Preferred)
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
  • Previous construction experience
  • Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
