Civmec is seeking an experienced QA Superintendent to manage and implement Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) services across project teams. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with quality systems, welding standards, and project specifications while driving continuous improvement across site operations.
The Role
- Promote and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Ensure best trade practices are followed in accordance with relevant welding standards and specifications
- Ensure all QA/QC inspections and testing are completed in accordance with the Quality Management Plan and Project Specifications
- Supervise and mentor QA/QC Inspectors
- Manage non-conformances (NCRs), corrective and preventative actions
- Provide QA/QC technical guidance to the Fabrication Superintendent and Fabrication Supervisors
- Coordinate the development and qualification of new welding PQRs when required
- Coordinate NDT subcontractors to meet testing requirements
- Conduct PMI, material traceability, and material control in accordance with project requirements
- Ensure MDRs are progressively compiled and on track for project completion
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Proven experience working within QA/QC systems aligned with ISO 3834
- Proven experience with welding to mining and oil & gas specifications
