The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking experienced Earthworks and Concrete Structural Supervisors to join our team. This role is on an exciting major project (>$100m value) working FIFO 2:1 roster.
As a Civil Supervisor you will be responsible for the successful planning and control of construction work, supervise crew activities to ensure that site works are completed in accordance with safety, quality, time and profit objectives for the Project
 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist and oversee the planning and organisation of civil construction works onsite
  • Liaise with client representatives/Project Engineers regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that works are carried out according to client specifications
  • Develop and review documentation necessary to facilitate work carried out
  • Read and decipher drawings, plans and schedules. 
  • Maintain a detailed daily diary.
  • Ensure relevant field inspection checklists are completed and signed in conjunction with client representatives
  • Understand and implement quality control techniques
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed

About You

  • Recognised Australian Trade Qualification
  • Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures or earthworks
  • White Card/Blue Card
  • Ability to mange a direct workforce and sub contractors
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience performing supervision to a direct workforce for civil construction on site
  • Ability to forecast works and prepare short term programmes
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Developed interpersonal skills
