The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our team on a FIFO 2:1 roster.
This role is responsible for the management of a portion of the project scope. You will be providing engineering support and assistance regarding project management assisting with engineering duties as delegated to ensure successful project outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
  • Understand and implement quality control techniques
  • Ensure the company's objectives and policies are adhered to
  • Attend operations meetings
  • Preparation and issue of weekly status reports
  • Maintain project files
  • Preparation of work schedules
  • Preparation of material requisitions
  • Review and approve technical deviation/query requests and maintain TDQR register
  • Take timely corrective action to address any issued non-conformances
  • Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
  • Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed
  • Review formwork design drawings and stock take as required
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in structural, civil engineering or construction management
  • Minimum 5 years project experience on Civil concrete and earthworks projects ideally in the mining, oil and gas sector
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite is essential
  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
