The Opportunity
Civmec have secured new SMP Major Construction Projects in regional Western Australia
We offer immediate opportunities for experienced SMP Site Engineer's to join the Iron Bridge Magnetite Project based in the Pilbara
Immediate start - expected duration 18+ months with further projects and career advancement to follow.
This will be a 2:1 FIFO roster with the point of hire will be from any Capital City in Australia - Competitive industry based salary with uplift and PCB
Duties and Responsibilities
- Process material take-offs
- Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
- Produce as-built drawings for precast works
- Arrange method statements
- Organise project testing requirements
- Compose weekly progress reports
- Update schedules as required
- Ensure relevant field inspection checklists are completed and signed in conjunction with client representatives
- Understand and implement quality control techniques
- Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
- Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
- Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed.
- Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed
About You
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in structural, mechanical engineering or construction management
- Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite is essential.
Preferred
- Previous project experience on civil construction projects ideally in the mining, oil and gas sector is desirable
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role is preferred
