The Opportunity

The Project Engineer is a key member of our project delivery team. For the right candidate, it offers clear career progression to future senior roles within the Civmec business.
To aid in this career progression, you will be mentored by some of our senior leaders and have a clear development pathway.

This role is on an exciting new major project (>$100m value). It will commence in our Henderson Office and will transfer to FIFO (2&1) roster upon mobilisation of the Project. 
You will manage a portion of Project scope and be involved in all aspects of project execution including construction, quality, commercial and management activities. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide the technical engineering support to the project including technical queries, inspections and interpretation of design deliverables;
  • Interface and be involved with other project functions such as quality, commercial, construction and project controls;
  • Assist the Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager with project management tasks as required;
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to support the project

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in structural/mechanical engineering or construction management
  • Sound knowledge of the application and establishment of project planning, scheduling and cost control tools
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years previous project experience on Construction SMP Projects ideally in the mining sector, oil and gas sector
