The Project

The Iron Bridge Project is a Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (FMG) and Formosa Steel IB Pty Ltd (Formosa) Joint Venture (JV) Project with the site located near Marble Bar, approximately 145 km South of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of WA.

Civmec’s Scope for the Iron Bridge Project SMPE&I includes the installation of the Dry Plant including the structural, mechanical, module installation and hook-up, piping, electrical and instrumentation/controls activities required for the Project.


The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking Sheet Metal Workers/Cladders to join our ever-growing team, on the Iron Bridge Project for the SMPE&I Process Plant Construction - Dry Plant, in the Pilbara Region of WA


  • Immediate starts available.

  • 3:1 roster
  • Comfortable and new camp (comfortable rooms, good food, great culture, several gyms and a new pool for those lazy Sunday afternoons)



Duties and Responsibilities


  • Completing the installation of sheeting and flashing of buildings and structures.
  • Finalisation of sheeting and flashing of structural components in-situ; and
  • Completing the installation of covers over conveyor lines in-situ.



About You


  • Industrial experience as a Sheet Metal worker or comparative experience.
  • Relevant trade qualifications
  • Previous construction experience within the mining and resources (preferable)
  • Current High-risk Work Licence with
    • EWP (WP).
  • Valid Working at Heights certificate
  • Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
