The Opportunity

Civmec is hiring and we want you! We are currently looking for Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians to join our Maintenance Core Crew for ongoing works based on Roy Hill, Murrin Murrin and Karara . We have ongoing positions available for commencement in June 2022.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and install control systems and associated equipment such as flow meters, variable speed drivers and pressure and level transmitters. Tasks involve trouble-shooting, routine maintenance, calibration and fault-finding.
  • Review the customer specification to ensure all technical aspects of contract are clear and understood.
  • Liaise with the customer on all technical aspects.
  • Provide a focal point for all technical based queries from all CIVMEC Personnel, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Trace out and test electronic solid state and vacuum tube circuitry and components to locate defective parts in analogue and digital, protection, or radiation monitoring systems, using test equipment, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
  • Remove defective instruments from system, decontaminate, disassemble, and clean instruments, and replace defective parts, using hand tools.
  • Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems.

About You

  • Valid WA Electrical License (Mandatory)
  • Cert IV In Instrumentation (Desired)
  • Cert III In Electro-Technology (Desired)
  • Shutdown Experience
  • Valid First Aid, CPR and LVR License (Desired)
  • Must be Clean Shaven
  • Must be able to provide evidence of recent vaccinations
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and a drug and alcohol screen
