The Opportunity

Civmec is hiring and we want you! We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Supervisors to join our Shutdown and Maintenance Core Crew for various upcoming opportunities. We have several positions available with an immediate start for ongoing work. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of conveyor and shutdown components on site
  • Supervise and control designated shutdown and maintenance duties
  • Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, shutdown scheduling and coordinating deliveries
  • Develop and review documentation necessary to facilitate work carried out
  • Compose completion reports
  • Update schedules as required
  • Ensure relevant field inspection checklists are completed and signed in conjunction with client representatives
  • Understand and implement quality control techniques
  • Maintain company standards for quality assurance purposes
  • Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
  • Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed
  • Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed

About You

  • Proven knowledge and experience in maintenance, shutdown planning and resource management
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite
  • Previous Shutdown experience in conveyor maintenance ideally in the mining sector
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar Supervision role
