We are looking for a full-time Mechanical Estimator to join our team at the Civmec Tomago Facility. This role is responsible for estimating multidiscipline site maintenance, shutdowns, and capital projects valued between $1 million and $30 million. While experience in pricing off-site steel fabrication is preferred, it is not essential.
The Role
- Conduct cost estimation for multidiscipline maintenance and shutdowns ranging from $1 million to $30 million
- Prepare estimates for capital projects up to $30 million
- Provide pricing expertise for off-site steel fabrication for our Tomago Workshop
- Estimate multidisciplinary maintenance outages & capital projects, various trades, including:
- Mechanical fitters
- Boilermaking and welders
- Crane and rigging operations
- Scaffold assembly
- Specialist subcontractors for each outage
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Minimum of five years' experience in estimation
- Certificate III trade qualification or a Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
- Familiarity with developing & or input to key proposal deliverables, including:
- Construction methodologies
- Schedules (Gantt charts)
- Resource histograms
- Organizational charts
- Experience with Microsoft Project is desirable
