The Opportunity

Civmec is hiring and we want you! We are looking for Mechanical Fitters to join our local Shutdown Core Crew for ongoing shutdown works based in the Peel Region and surrounds. These roles will be drive-in drive-out positions starting in January 2021.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical repairs and servicing of various fixed plant machinery including calciner, kiln and liquor burner maintenance
  • Refurbish and installing of pumps, seals, valves, air slides, pullies and bearings
  • Reading schematics and engineering drawings
  • Ability to effectively conduct risk assessments prior to work commencement
  • Assemble mechanical components with a proactive approach to identify potential issues and escalate/recording as required.
  • Follow work instruction including lockout/tag out procedures and supply proactive feedback
  • Uphold safety standards, identify potential hazards and display a positive attitude to work

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
  • Confined Space Ticket
  • Shutdown Experience
  • Flexible to work Days/Nights
  • You will be based in Western Australia with reliable transportation and willing to drive in and out to locations within the Peel Region and Southern Perth Metro area.
