The Opportunity

Civmec is hiring and we want you! We are looking for Riggers to join our local Shutdown Core Crew for ongoing shutdown works based in the Peel Region and Kwinana area. These roles will be drive-in drive-out positions starting January 2021.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform complex rigging and mathematical assessment to ensure correct equipment is utilized
  • Structural Steel and Steel Erection
  • Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces using chain blocks and level pullers
  • Dismantle and store rigging equipment correctly
  • Test/Tag and register rigging equipment as required
  • Set up and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists and pulling gear using hand and power tools
  • Ability to effectively conduct risk assessments prior to work commencement
  • Follow work instruction including lockout/tag out procedures and supply proactive feedback
  • Uphold safety standards, identify potential hazards and display a positive attitude to work
  • Perform other general duties as required

  • Flexible to work Days/Nights
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
  • You will be based in Western Australia with reliable transportation and willing to drive in and out to locations within the Peel Region and Southern Perth Metro area.
