Civmec is seeking a dynamic Senior HSE Advisor to lead safety excellence on the landmark Perth Parks Project, an iconic new precinct featuring a 12,000‑seat amphitheatre, multi‑use building and racetrack.  
 

In this high‑impact role, you’ll shape safety culture, drive compliance, and guide teams through safe project delivery. As a senior leader, you’ll provide expert technical support, champion risk management, and lead continuous improvement across this major infrastructure development. 

The Role

  • Lead and facilitate risk identification and management to ensure risks are reduced to ALARP 
  • Conduct and oversee incident investigations (ICAM/Taproot) and communicate findings to leadership 
  • Develop, implement and coordinate HSE standards, programs and procedures 
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, corporate requirements and IMS standards 
  • Monitor, interpret and communicate legislative changes 
  • Lead hazard investigations and ensure corrective actions address root causes 
  • Coach and mentor managers in developing HSE management plans and risk registers 
  • Conduct field observations, inspections and audits (JHAs, SWMS, ATWPs, high‑risk work, equipment, environmental inspections) 
  • Review subcontractor HSE Management Plans and verify capability 
  • Provide guidance on return‑to‑work and injury management, including treatment plans 

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety 
  • ICAM or Taproot certification 
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar HSE role, with demonstrated senior‑level capability 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement 
  • Intermediate+ Microsoft Office capability 
  • Advanced incident investigation experience (ICAM/Taproot)
