The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage HSE aspects of both Civil and SMP construction works
- Support risk identification and management processes to ensure work activities are reduced to ALARP (As Low as Reasonably Practicable)
- Lead incident investigations and communicate findings to project and management teams
- Develop, implement, and coordinate HSE standards, programs, and procedures
- Ensure all project activities, processes, and systems comply with relevant legislation and the Corporate Compliance Matrix
- Stay informed of legislative changes and apply updates to company standards, procedures, and plans
- Monitor, communicate, and implement regulatory updates as required
- Assist in hazard investigations, ensuring corrective actions address root causes and prevent recurrence
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- Previous experience in a similar HSE role within construction or heavy industry
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and best practices
- A commitment to safety, integrity, and teamwork
- Cert Iv or Diploma in OHS
- ICAM or Taproot Cetification
- Previous use of HSE databases
- Ability to commumnicate with a range of key stakeholdrs and key role members
- Experience working on FMG, Rio Tinto, BHP and Roy Hill sites is highly regarded
