Civmec is delivering major civil, concrete and SMPE&I works for Iluka’s Eneabba Rare Earths Refinery — Australia’s first fully integrated rare earths processing facility. As our scope grows, we’re seeking experienced HSE Advisors to support safe delivery across this landmark project.
These long‑term roles offer 2:1 FIFO and DIDO rosters, working with high‑performing teams across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation works. The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage HSE performance across civil, concrete, SMP and SMPE&I construction activities
- Support risk identification and ensure controls reduce exposure to ALARP
- Lead incident investigations and communicate findings to project leadership
- Develop, implement, and coordinate HSE standards, programs, and procedures across site teams
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and Civmec’s Corporate Compliance Matrix
- Monitor regulatory updates and ensure project systems remain current
- Assist with hazard investigations and ensure corrective actions address root causes
- Provide coaching and support to supervisors and work crews to drive a proactive safety culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a similar HSE role within construction, mining, SMP, or heavy industry
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation and industry best practice
- Cert IV or Diploma in OHS (minimum requirement)
- ICAM or Taproot investigation certification
- Experience using HSE databases, reporting systems, and digital field tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in remote project environment
