The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking experienced Boilermakers to join our ever-growing team, on the Iron Bridge Project for the SMPE&I Process Plant Construction - Dry Plant, in the Pilbara Region of WA.
Immediate starts available.

This role will be FIFO from all Australian Capital cities.
 

The Project

The Iron Bridge Project is a Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (FMG) and Formosa Steel IB Pty Ltd (Formosa) Joint Venture (JV) Project with the site located near Marble Bar, approximately 145 km South of Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of WA.
Civmec’s Scope for the Iron Bridge Project SMPE&I includes the installation of the Dry Plant including the structural, mechanical, module installation and hook-up, piping, electrical and instrumentation/controls activities required for the Project.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
•    Able to mark out steel components.
•    Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components using correct tooling ie Rota Broach, oxy and acetylene etc
•    Apply temporary bracing, where required, to ensure post welded component is with in tolerance and dimensions
•    Straighten steel components where applicable post welding to comply with dimensions


 

About You

•    Point of hire for the project will be Perth WA

•    If you are not WA based, flights will be provided to you from the closest Australian Capital City to your usual place of residence, Accommodation and Meals will be provided if you are required to quarantine once arriving in WA.

•    Trade Certificate in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication or Plateworker
•    Current Demonstrate First Attack Firefighting Equipment Certificate
•    Previous construction experience in the mining and resources sector
•    Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card

 This role is paid in accordance with the applicable Enterprise Agreement, The hourly rate commences at $43.29 + Penalties, Site allowance and Project Completion Bonus.
