The Opportunity

Civmec are currently seeking a Rolls and Press Operator to join our Fabrication team, based at our Henderson Workshop. This role is a local opportunity available on a full time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
  • Mark out steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
  • Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
  • Sling and move steel components with gantry cranes, mobile lifting equipment etc
  • Utilise all hand tools and forming machines to perform required functions
  • Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG
  • Follow quality control systems and techniques
  • Perform other general duties as required
  • Press Operating
  • Roller Operating
About You
  • Trade Certificate in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication or Plateworker
  • Gantry Crane competency
  • Post Apprenticeship
  • Extensive experience with rolling, pressing and bending machine operating
